    aspects of Windows Network File Sharing.  While some
    competitors claim CIFS support, CIFS is only one piece required for
    a robust implementation.  Our product provides all features of LAN
    Manager as well as providing CIFS transport directly over TCP.  The
    additional features under LAN Manager are required for network
    browsing (integrating with Windows Explorer, appearing under
    'Microsoft Network', and being able to browse exported shares).

    Robust and Reliable.  The CIFS and LAN Manager protocol suites
    are complex.  Other implementations have evolved with shortcuts
    that, although may provide the required feature under most cases,  
    are difficult to maintain, difficult to enhance, and may sometimes
    produce unreliable or unexpected results.  Blue Share 3.0  is
    extremely reliable, easy to maintain, and easy to extend to support
    new features.

    Performance.  We have benchmarked Blue Share against the
    native file servers under Windows and Linux and have shown that
    we equal or outperform those standard implementations in most

    We are sensitive to the perception that a low price may indicate low
    value in either functionality or quality.  We therefore encourage our

    Portability.  Blue Share 3.0 has been designed from the bottom up
    as highly portable.  As a result, Blue Peach is typically able to
    include porting to standard RTOSes free of charge.

    Size.  Blue Share is extremely compact.  The software is very
    modular, and efficient.  CIFS is a complex protocol stack due to the
    many different layers and seemingly arbitrary structure of
    messages.  Our years of CIFS experience is reflected in the
    implementation of Blue Share.  The required CIFS software
    components and methods for processing requests and responses
    are very well understood.  This allowed us to design the software to
    maximize modularization. Our CIFS server, which includes all the
    functionality highlighted above consumes only 84K of memory.  In
    contrast, equivalent functionality on an embedded Linux system
    running Samba is over 2MB!
